David Greaves Design is an award winning landscape garden design & construction company based in the heart of Leicestershire. We cover Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire & Northamptonshire.

Our bespoke design service coupled with our skilled teams to install our projects, we can offer the complete service bringing your outdoor space to life.
We pride ourselves with having a wealth of experience installing the latest materials in the landscaping market to give the look and feel our clients require.
From small courtyard gardens to large open spaces, our projects work to all customer requirements, bespoke outdoor kitchen / BBQ areas, water features, sculptures. We also have a fully skilled team from groundworks, builders, plasterers, plumbers, electricians, painters & carpenters to ensure a complete service is offered, having undertaken many extensions, renovations, kitchens, garden rooms, garage's we can take your project on from the very start to completion, you don't have to worry about a thing, knowing your works are in very capable hands.

We see projects through from start to finish. Starting with discussing your visions, plans & budget, to installing designs, adding lighting, furniture and getting your new space ready to be enjoyed. We work closely with all clients to ensure we create a good connection and fit with the required budget as much as possible.

Owner
With over 35 years of experience in the industry David took the leap of faith 15 years ago and set up David Greaves Landscape design & construction. With an impressive eye for design & vision it has always been Davids passion to create high quality, beautiful outdoor spaces working closely with clients and suppliers to create dream gardens within their budget. David prides himself on the relationships he builds with his customers to ensure they get nothing but the best service.
Libby Greaves
Owner
Without Libby the office would fall apart, wife of David she keeps him organised they really are the perfect Duo. Libby is part time in the office as she still remains working for a lovely company she has been with for over 18 years! Libby also has a fantastic plant knowledge and often works with our clients to get the perfect planting scheme for them, working with them to advise best planting times for bulbs, maintenance and care on plants and how to keep your garden looking fantastic.
Alice Greaves
Admin And HR
Our HR Expert Alice, she’s brings with her a wealth of experience from her previous roles and whilst She has worked in the background over the last five years building Wad House Farm Christmas trees Alice is working with our suppliers to get the best quality products at the best price to maintain our highest quality installations on both the landscape and building side. Alice has a variety of rolls within the business from using her finance experience, social media & website, staff welfare & training, supplier relations & much more.
Alfie Greaves
Groundwork Operations
We take pride in our dedicated team, especially Alfie, our groundwork and excavation specialist. Alfie began his journey at a young age, operating a digger and honing his skills under the guidance of his dad, David. With years of hands-on experience, Alfie now leads the initial stages of our landscaping projects, ensuring that every garden is perfectly set up for our talented landscaping crew. His passion for the craft and extensive knowledge make him an invaluable part of our operations.

Team Manager
Meet Jim, David’s right-hand man and a cornerstone of our team since 2009. His partnership with David dates back to their teenage years, built on friendship, humour, and a shared passion for creating exceptional outdoor spaces. A natural leader, Jim manages teams, oversees projects, and keeps operations running smoothly. His dedication, expertise, and commitment to innovation make him an invaluable asset. Beyond work, he’s a fantastic father to his twin boys. We’re proud and grateful to have him as a key part of David Greaves Landscape Design and Construction. #MeetTheTeam
Tom Bates
Designer
Meet Tom, our full-time garden designer with a passion for transforming spaces into works of art. His love for design began at 16, leading him to study horticulture, interior design, and UX/UI design. A true team player, Tom excels at building strong client relationships to bring their visions to life. He first joined us in 2018, later taking time to care for family and travel, before returning full-time in summer 2024. We’re thrilled to have him back!
Nikos
Team Supervisor
Nickos has been a vital part of David Greaves Landscape Design and Construction since 2018. Highly skilled in all aspects of hard landscaping, he brings precision and expertise to every project. As a fantastic supervisor, he mentors new team members, sharing his knowledge and helping them grow. Over the years, he has played a key role in delivering outstanding projects while also becoming an amazing dad. We’re proud to have him on our team!
Sam
Machine Operator
Sam, also known as David’s right arm, joined us in 2012 as our third team member. A highly skilled machine operator and all-around landscaper, he’s happiest in a digger—especially with heating! His passion for landscaping continues to grow, and he’s dedicated to mentoring younger team members. Outside of work, he loves restoring Land Rovers and attending shows. Loyal, dependable, and a true team player, Sam’s friendship and contributions are deeply valued at David Greaves Landscape Design and Construction.

Joe joined us five years ago as a labourer and has grown into a skilled leader, successfully managing teams and projects. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces, he consistently delivers exceptional work. Over the past year, we’ve also celebrated his journey into fatherhood alongside his colleagues. A dedicated team player and a true asset to the business, we’re proud to see him continue to grow with us!
